Santa Clara project

IN THE HEART OF GIRONA

Santa Clara 11, is installed in one of the best areas of the old town of Girona, facing the river. The objective of Contruccions Busquets is to transform the dense office building of the 70s into a new type of dynamic life. A new patio of lights is proposed. It is thought of as a modern, transparent and bright space, open to the sky. As the heart of construction, it provides light, ventilation and character to homes and the public.

It is defined in glass blocks following the tradition of the North-European gallery, as in the Viennese Otto Wagner modernist DS. The apartments are sold on plan, with the option of modification in some detail or finishes of the work, are 2 apartments per floor, this being 4 floors. On the 1st floor, the 2 apartments have a 100m2 terrace, and on the 4th floor they are 450m2 duplex penthouses.

The building object of this project is an office building located at number 11 on Santa Clara street, in the old town of Girona.
Santa Clara Street has a main use for pedestrians. The area is residential and commercial buildings.
The street has a horizontal development.

Santa Clara Street is a street with buildings built on both sides. Punctually opening points appear forming small squares. Just in front of building number 11 we find one of these large openings that offers a more open perspective to the Onyar River and overlooking the river facade, the Stone Bridge, the Rambla de la Libertad and the Ascent of the Stone Bridge. Thanks to this, the building of the present project, observed from the Stone Bridge and the Rambla de la Libertad, becomes a virtual part of the Onyar river river elevation.

The surface of the parcel.la according to cadastre is 872 m², rectangular in shape but with a long wedge that forms the inner courtyard to which several surrounding buildings are poured. On the north side of the building it borders the building known as the 'El Molino' Power Plant (Santa Clara 13) and the Canal de la Acequia and on the south with the Santa Clara 9 residential building.
